Facilitation is the art of designing, organizing, and guiding the discussion process constructively in a group. It aims at bringing people together in a physical or virtual space and shifting the collective mindset of the group from problem to potential, from ‘no way’ to ‘let’s try’ and from differences to similarities.

Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary process where an impartial party assist individuals or groups in overcoming their different by focusing on their needs and interests. Mediation offers a structured process aimed at helping parties to transcend their conflict and move forward in a way that is acceptable to all.  

We guide the parties toward their own resolution by following a structured process during which both sides define the issues clearly, understand each other’s position and move closer to resolution. To do so, we use nonviolent communication and negotiation tools.

Skills development in conflict management

Conflict management skills is the practice of being able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently. Since conflicts are a natural part of human experience, it is important to understand how they escalade and know how to prevent escalation and de-escalate constructively.

We support institutions in designing and conducting skills development activities in conflict management for their staff. We offer trainings and learning trajectories that respond to the specific learning needs of the audience. We take great care in engaging participants actively by using participatory learning methods and approaches.
